CTBio- ScanBalt Collaboration

CTBio- ScanBalt Collaboration

18 march 2020

Last Tuesday, March 10, 2020, a videoconference was held between institutional representatives of ScanBalt, an organization that promotes and accelerates interregional cooperation in Northern Europe in the field of biotechnology, and the CTBio Cluster, where BIOGA and P-BIO served as representatives.

This first contact has derived from the different actions developed during the project in terms of promotion at international level and that have sought the dissemination of the Galicia-North Portugal Bioregion as a biotech pole.

In order to explore possible ways of collaboration between both entities, the CTBio Cluster and its main future objectives have been presented, many of them shared with ScanBalt, so in the following months the exchange of information and collaboration in specific actions will continue.

Thus, in the short term, work will be done on the possibility of actively participating in an event that this association is preparing in the areas of health and “biodata”, to be held in September 2020 in the German city of Hamburg.

ScanBalt BioRegion is composed of the health and bioeconomy communities of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Northern Germany, Northern Netherlands and Northwest Russia, striving to make this Bioregion a “hotspot” for health and bioeconomy worldwide.
